I'm so sorry! That's such a bumme...Oh no!!! I'm so sorry! That's such a bummer. I rolled my ankle once, at the very beginning of my training last year. It was no fun at all. I, luckily, didn't sprain or twist it, so I only had to stay off it a few days before I could run again.

My degree is in music, but I would definitely say to stay off it for at least 2 weeks and see how you feel. Keep it supported and, when you do start getting back into the groove, some KT tape would be a good idea. (That stuff helps me with my knee when it gets out of whack. Love it.)

All in all, FEEL BETTER!!!!!!!!!! *hugs*CupCake@ Bigger Girls Can Run Toohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17660640302611690348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076179970011255850.post-34364791224461609332012-05-22T09:01:25.626-04:002012-05-22T09:01:25.626-04:00Oh man L, I am so sorry to hear about that. *lots ...Oh man L, I am so sorry to hear about that. *lots of hugs* I think it was better to skip your 10k then to start it and not be able to finish. I imagine it wasn't an easy decision to make. But, if it was the frontier 10k - it was pretty hot and miserable if that makes you feel any better?

That looks super painful! I used to sprain my ankles ALL the time, but it was before I was doing anything athletic so I unfortunately don't have much advice about how long it will take to come back.

But definitely take it easy. I'd say give it a week or two off and see how you feel. Start out slow and just build as you can. I would recommend using KT tape or something similar for stability when you do start doing things again.~* Jenn *~https://www.blogger.com/profile/07541103665242464789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9076179970011255850.post-44331544251448542572012-05-22T06:49:41.012-04:002012-05-22T06:49:41.012-04:00That is NASTY!!!
