Chapter 2 page 274 - TR 94 with Pacer the pup

Yesterday, Pacer (my beagle pup) and I went for a EASY 2.25 mile run and then did another quarter mile cool down.  We did 4:2 for the first 1.13 miles (17 minutes = 15 m/m) and then we ran the whole 1.13 miles  back (15 minutes = 13.24 m/m).  Although it was very windy, sprinkling, cloudy, and cold, it was good to get out there for a quick 40 minutes.

Please note - that I ALWAYS crate the dog during drives in the car, but I put Pacer in the car and before she even climbed into the crate she laid on the other side of the seat and fell asleep.  She didn't move a muscle during our 5 minute drive home.  It was precious - little tuckered out puppy!!!

  1. Awww ... Pacer looks so cute all curled up.

    Great job on the run!

  2. Lisa, what ortho doc did you see? I'm having severe heel pain (previous PF) and need to call a doctor tomorrow. (I'm a runner from Bluffton..found your blog from Flying Kites) Thanks.

  3. @ Lynn, I used Dr. Almdale from FWO - he comes to the Bluffton Regional South Campus (former Wells Community Hospital - across from CVS) on Monday mornings. He's more of a shoulder guy, but I choose him because he was convenient and I thought he would make a good first step. You could probably call (the main FWO ortho number) and get an appointment tomorrow morning - he was very nice - it was a good initial choice for me.

If you're looking for the best in foot pain - you may want to check out Dr. DeTommaso here is more info for him:

good luck - let me know how it turns out!

  4. Great run! I'm sure I've complimented you on your beagle before, but I'll say it again... Pacer is a cutie!
